Coming to a new city for treatment can make it harder.
A child with cancer needs treatment, often for months. But for families who travel from distant towns and villages, treatment comes with a whole set of other worries. Where will we stay? How will we get to the hospital every day? What will our child eat? How do we manage when we have already spent so much? And while parents are trying to find answers, children are missing school, friends, play and the familiar things that make them feel like children. The treatment may be available. But getting through it is not always easy. That is where Access Life comes in.
No family should have to fight cancer alone
A safe place to sleep, a nutritious meal, a ride to the hospital, someone to talk to, a little learning and a little play; these may seem like small things. For a family living through childhood cancer, they can make an enormous difference.
With your support, we can give families what they need to stay beside their children through treatment, without having to worry about where the next meal or night’s stay will come from.
Because sometimes, helping a child fight cancer means helping the family around them, too.

To provide children aged 0–14 who travel to big cities for cancer treatment with a clean, safe, comfortable and caring home away from home; completely free of cost. From accommodation and nutritious food to hospital transport, education, counselling and recreation, we support the child and family through the long journey of treatment.
